About Turmeric Powder
Turmeric gives Sri Lankan curries, yellow rice and dhal their golden colour and earthy flavour. A little goes a long way: add it early with the onions, rub it into fish and meat with salt before frying, or warm it into golden milk.
Storing it
Keep the jar tightly closed, away from heat, light and moisture (not above the stove), and use a dry spoon so the contents stay fresh.
